Attorney Liliana Ivette Vasquez graduated from the University of Texas, El Paso in 2011. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law in 2015. While at Moritz College of Law, she served on the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution as the Business Editor. In July of 2021, she joined Brown Immigration Law, where she focuses on family immigration law and removal defense. Previously, Ms. Vasquez was employed with Muchnicki & Bittner.

Attorney Vasquez has a passion for community service. She serves as President of the League of the United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Columbus Council 39005. As President, she launched the Columbus Scholarship Initiative, which awards educational scholarships to Hispanic College Students. Under Attorney Vasquez’s direction, and in collaboration with the Martin de Porres Center and the Ohio Dominican Sisters of Peace, LULAC Columbus holds Citizenship Fairs twice a year to guide individuals in their journey to becoming Naturalized American Citizens. Ms. Vasquez also serves on the Board of Proyecto Mariposas, an organization dedicated to developing brave girls and strong women, by helping Latina mothers and daughters navigate complex subjects such as; growing up bi-cultural, dealing with peer pressure and the daily struggles young girls face.

Attorney Vasquez prides herself in being able to provide accessible legal services to the Hispanic community in Columbus, and in their native language. A recent victory of hers includes serving as co-counsel on the first successful sanctuary case in Ohio. She is also recognized by The Mexican Consulate in Indiana as a Consulting Attorney.
