Humanitarian parole is a type of relief which can be awarded at the discretion of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This type of relief is not a way for individuals, who are otherwise eligible for immigration, to gain entry into the United States. Humanitarian parole is only granted in rare and necessary circumstances.
